Carroll Man Pleads Guilty To Violating Probation For Sexual Abuse Charges

A Carroll man has pled guilty today (Monday) to violating his probation terms for sexual abuse charges. According to Carroll County District Court records, 25-year-old Antonio Lamar Deshaunte Hatcher was taken into custody last month on a arrest warrant for violating conditions of his five-year probation by allegedly locking his phone so his probation officer didn’t have access, received payments from individuals that did not go through the Department of Corrections banking system, text messages requesting for sexual pictures and content from females, checking out of the residential facility to attend classes at Iowa Central Community College (ICCC) but was reported absent, hanging out in a ICCC female student’s dorm room and sending sexual pictures to other individuals. Hatcher was sentenced to a suspended 10 year incarceration on July 28 for being found guilty of engaging in sexual acts with a 14-year old girl at a hotel in Carroll when he was 24-years old. Instead, he was ordered to five-years probation with a special sentence to remain on the sex offender registry for the remainder of his life. With the violations, his probation has been revoked and will be sentenced at a later date. He remains in the custody of the Carroll County Jail on no bond.
