Mockingbird Avenue Near Audubon To Close For Nearly Two Months For Culvert Replacement

A short section of Mockingbird Avenue southeast of Audubon will be closed for nearly two months beginning on Monday. According to the Audubon County Roads Department, the roadway between Highway 44 and 220th Street will be impassable to through-traffic while crews replace a culvert. Depending on weather conditions, the work is expected to be completed by Jan. 14. County officials have not designated a formal detour for the project, but local traffic will still have access to properties from the north and south, and nearby Lark and Nighthawk Avenues will remain available. Motorists with questions about the culvert replacement scheduled to begin Monday, Nov. 17, on Mockingbird Avenue are encouraged to contact the Audubon County Road Department at 712-563-4286.
