Members of the Des Moines Area Community College (DMACC) Honors Program are asking for donations of snacks and personal care items for its Treats for Troops food drive tomorrow (Saturday). Donations of non-perishable and individually wrapped items will be gathered from 11 a.m. to 2 p.m. at Fareway to send to the Iowa National Guard soldiers currently stationed in the Middle East for Operation Inherent Resolve. People wishing to donate can purchase the requested products themselves, buy a pre-made bag for $20, or make a monetary donation by scanning the QR code included with this story on our website.
