New Hope will host its 44th annual Soup Day fundraiser tomorrow (Thursday). The event runs from 11 a.m. to 7 p.m. at the First United Methodist Church in Carroll with dine-in and carry-out options available. For $12, guests can enjoy homemade chicken noodle, chili, or vegetable soup, plus a dessert and a drink. All soups are made from scratch with ingredients donated by Hy-Vee, a long-time supporter of the event. New Hope CEO Jennifer Quigley says, “Soup Day is one of those traditions that truly shows the heart of our community. We’re so grateful for Hy-Vee’s continued support and for all the volunteers who make this event possible. Every bowl served helps enrich the lives of those we support at New Hope.” Pre-orders for six or more meals are being accepted through the end of today (Wednesday), with pickup available from 11 a.m. to 2 p.m. on Thursday. Proceeds from Soup Day support unbudgeted needs and special projects at New Hope, providing opportunities for individuals with disabilities to learn, grow, and thrive. Quigley offers a special thank you to the New Hope Volunteer Advisory Board for organizing Soup Day every year and to the many people who help prepare and work the event.
