A Rockwell City man has pled not guilty to burglary charges after allegedly kicking down a door at a Lohrville residence. According to Calhoun County District Court records, 31-year-old Denver Ray Jenkins allegedly kicked in a lock door at a house in the 100 block of Elm Street in Lohrville on April 21, of 2024, where authorities say he assaulted the occupant, punching him several times in the head. Jenkins was taken into custody on Oct. 14, and was released earlier this month. He has pled not guilty to first-degree burglary, a class B felony and faces a jury trial on Jan. 13, 2026 at the Calhoun County Courthouse. A class B felony in Iowa carries a maximum sentence of up to 25 years in prison.
