Hunter Harmening Excited To Be Back To District As New Board Of Education Member For CCSD

Carroll native and former Carroll Community School District (CCSD) employee Hunter Harmening was elected to serve on the district’s board of education during Tuesday’s city/school elections. Harmening was employed as the juvenile court school liaison and says he is thankful for the chance to continue helping CCSD remain the great district it is.

Harmening says his main focus remains on building the district’s morale, attracting and retaining quality staff, among other things.

Harmening received 976 votes, or 22.61 percent, for one of the two open seats. He will be joined by another new member of the board, Jeff Cullen, who was also a former CCSD employee. He hopes that, with their prior experience working at the school, they can serve as a bridge to improve communication between the board of education and CCSD staff.

Harmening again wants to thank everyone for their support during his campaign.

Results from the 2025 city/school elections can be found included below. Interviews with the winners for the Carroll City Council and Cullen for CCSD Board of Education can be found on carrollbroadcasting.com.
