Fleshner, Cayler, Bauer, And Koster Win Their Races In Tuesday’s Carroll City Council Elections

The unofficial results of tonight’s (Tuesday) Carroll City Council are in, with Jerry Fleshner, Jeff Cayler, Kyle Bauer, and Deb Koster winning their respective races. In the contested mayoral election, Fleshner, the incumbent, held off a challenge from Dee Svensson, 1,456 votes to Svensson’s 401. Fleshner won with 78.43 percent of the vote overall. In the Carroll City Council at-large race, Jeff Cayler, Carroll’s former police chief and interim city manager, received 1,196 votes, or 65.43 percent, to John Lawson’s 625, or 34.19 percent. Deb Koster ran unopposed in Ward 1, securing 516 votes, with a scattering of 12 write-in candidates. Finally, in Ward 3, Kyle Bauer, the incumbent, received 230 votes, or 61.01 percent, to Tage Henkelman’s 147 votes, or 38.99 percent. Results are unofficial until canvassed by the respective county board of supervisors.
