A Denison man is facing felony charges after allegedly displaying a firearm to a juvenile to steal personal items from him earlier this year. According to Crawford County District Court records, 19-year-old Yoandy Alexsis Martinez allegedly robbed a 17-year-old male in the 2300 block of 10th Avenue North, in Denison on June 3. Authorities say Martinez displayed a firearm to take the victim’s cell phone, wallet with approximately $350 in cash, and keys. Martinez was taken into custody and released after posting a $25,000 surety bond. He has pled not guilty to first-degree robbery, a class B felony. A jury trial is scheduled for Jan. 6, 2026 at the Crawford County Courthouse. If convicted, Martinez can face a maximum sentence of up to 25 years in prison.
