Manning Area Partners (MAP) is inviting everyone to come celebrate Manning with a twist on a former event. Before the merging of the two organizations, Manning Chamber of Commerce used to hold a chamber banquet to present awards to volunteers and businesses throughout the community, while Main Street Manning hosted “The Main Event”, an end-of-the-year fundraiser to raise money for the many activities held throughout the year and to recognize businesses and volunteer support. MAP Executive Director Andrea Rohe says since the two community entities are now one, they were looking to incorporate the events together.
Rohe says MAP Spotlight will take place on Saturday evening, starting at 5 p.m., at the Manning Hausbarn Heritage Park Konferenz Centre, and this year’s theme was a highly requested one: a casino night.
Rohe says there will be more fun aside from the gambling and live music.
Those wanting to join the ceremony and the meal will need to purchase a ticket, which is available at the MAP office or at the door for $45. Around 8:30 p.m., after the awards and meal, the doors will open for the community to join in the fun at no cost. Rohe says she hopes everyone can come out to celebrate the awesome individuals and businesses that make Manning the place it is.
Again, join MAP this upcoming Saturday for “High Stakes and High Honors” at the MAP Spotlight event, starting at 5 p.m. at Manning Hausbarn Heritage Park.
