Tomorrow (Saturday) is the Carroll Fire Department’s annual Firemen’s Dance, but it isn’t too late to purchase your ticket in support of the department’s only fundraiser of the year. Fire Chief Dan Hannasch says the community is so supportive, and firefighters look forward to celebrating with them every year.
Firefighters have spent the last three weeks knocking on every door in town, and if they didn’t catch you at home, they left tickets on the door or in the mailbox. Hannasch says they’ve updated the evening’s entertainment in recent years and are excited for what they have in store.
There will also be a cash bar available for attendees throughout the dance. Hannasch adds that this weekend is the only fundraiser of the year for the all-volunteer department, and it goes a long way in ensuring the department is properly trained and equipped with adequate gear.
People who want to support the Carroll Fire Department but can’t make it to the dance can still donate using Venmo (@Carroll-FireDept) or by sending a check to the fire station at 801 Bella Vista Dr. in Carroll.
