A Belmond woman, who faces multiple felony charges on prostitution of a minor out of Sac County, is now being charged with human trafficking. According to a press release by the Iowa Division of Criminal Investigation, 41-year-old Amanda Jean Goff is being charged with first-degree human trafficking, a class A felony, after an investigation by the Iowa DCI and the Perry Police Department discovered Goff allegedly took a 14-year-old girl to a hotel in Perry, for the victim to engage in commercial sexual activity with another individual. She was transferred from the Sac County Jail, where she was detained on multiple felony charges of kidnapping, pandering involving a minor, solicitation of commercial sexual activity, and lascivious acts with a child, to the Dallas County Jail and is being held on a $750,000 cash only bond. A preliminary hearing is scheduled for Nov. 10 at the Dallas County Courthouse. In Iowa, a class A felony carries a penalty of life in prison without the possibility of parole. According to Sac County District Court records, the charges out of Sac County will be dismissed due to the severity of the charges, and a potential mandatory life sentence she will serve out of Dallas County.
