Gov. Kim Reynolds has ordered the flags to be lowered to half-staff tomorrow (Saturday) in honor of the late Iowa Senator Claire Celsi during her celebration of life ceremony. Celsi entered hospice care earlier in September, passing away on Monday, Oct. 6. Flags will be flown at half-staff from sunrise to sunset on Saturday on the State Capitol Building, on flag displays in the Capitol Complex, and on all public buildings, grounds, and facilities throughout the state. Individuals, businesses, schools, municipalities, counties and other government subdivisions are encouraged to fly the flags at half-staff for the same length of time as a sign of respect.
