ACGC District One Of Many Across Nation Targeted With Bomb Threat Voicemail Friday Morning

The Adair-Casey/Guthrie Center (ACGC) Superintendent Josh Rasmussen released a statement following a bomb threat left at the Adair-Casey campus. Rassmussen says early this (Friday) morning, district staff and law enforcement were made aware of a voicemail that indicated a bomb was located at the campus. The Guthrie County Sheriff’s Department began investigating the situation, along with the Iowa School Safety Bureau and the Federal Bureau of Investigation (FBI) and found that this threat has been made in other schools across Iowa and the nation. No legitimacy or credibility was found regarding the threat. Out an abundance of safety, additional supervision and precautions were implemented at all ACGC campuses. Rassmussen says “We understand that news like this can be concerning. Please know that the safety of our students and staff is always our top priority. We will continue to communicate any important updates as they become available.
