Carroll Woman Charged With Felony Criminal Mischief For Keying Vehicle

Authorities say a Carroll woman was arrested yesterday (Monday) for felony criminal mischief for severely damaging a vehicle by scratching words into its paint. According to a criminal complaint filed by the Carroll Police Department, 39-year-old Nakeisha Naomi White was booked into the Carroll County Jail for second-degree criminal mischief, a class D felony, in connection to an incident early Monday morning in the 500 block of E. 18th Street. Authorities say White was seen on security camera footage leaving the Fairview Apartments at 4:12 a.m. and carving “boy stu butt” into a 2019 Nissan SUV’s hood. Authorities say White returned to the car about five minutes later to scratch another vulgar word in the vehicle’s driver-side door. The estimated cost to repair the damage is $2,521. As of this (Tuesday) morning, White remained in custody at the Carroll County Jail. A class D felony in Iowa carries a maximum penalty of five years in prison and up to $7,500 in fines.
