A Perry man has pled not guilty to burglary charges after allegedly entering a Carroll apartment in violation of a no-contact order earlier this year. According to Carroll County District Court records, authorities believe that 35-year-old Wesley Allen Jenkins entered into the victim’s residence on March 4 without permission, as there was an active NCO between them, got physical with her, then stole her wallet, phone and damaged personal belongings in the apartment. Jenkins entered a not guilty plea on Oct. 2, and faces a jury trial on Dec. 2 at the Carroll County Courthouse. Jenkins is being charged with second-degree burglary, a class C felony. If convicted, he could face a maximum sentence of up to ten years in prison and $13,660 in fines.
