Carroll-County-Courthouse

The Carroll County Board of Supervisors will consider approving the first round of opioid funding awards to local organizations at its meeting on Monday. The board convenes at 9 a.m. in the supervisors’ meeting room at the Carroll County Courthouse. The board will review funding applications from the Carroll County Ambulance Department, Manning Regional Healthcare Center (MRHC), and New Opportunities for money directed to the county from settlements with pharmaceutical companies, manufacturers, and distributors that contributed to the nation’s opioid crisis. Next, the supervisors will consider renewing certificates of deposits with local banks for funds not yet allocated from the opioid settlements. The remainder of the agenda includes updates from the Carroll County Roads Department, a pending retirement affecting the county’s human resources management, and committee reports. Monday’s meeting is open to the public and will be live-streamed via the county’s YouTube channel. Links to the agenda and video are included below.
