The 100+ Women Who Care of Audubon County awarded the Audubon County Caring and Sharing organization as this quarter’s donation recipient. Audubon County Caring and Sharing has been a staple resource of the community, assisting all residents of the area who needs food or clothing. The group relies on funding from local churches, organizations, and donations from individuals to continue its efforts of assisting in-need community members. The donation from 100+ Women Who Care will be utilized to purchase a small building or shed to be used as a drop-off location for clothing, as well as some security cameras and lighting. With the organization moving from the Memorial Building to 413 Tracy Street, a new place is needed to receive and store donations while the volunteers organize the clothing to give to individuals. Anyone in Audubon County that is struggle to provide for basic needs of clothing and food is encouraged to reach out to the Audubon County Caring and Sharing group, or if you are interested in donating, volunteering or financially contributing to their efforts.
