KNOW YOUR BALLOT: Carroll Native And CCSD Alumni Hunter Harmening Asking For Residents Votes This Upcoming Election

Carroll native, Hunter Harmening, is looking for Carroll residents vote to serve on the Carroll Community School District’s (CCSD) Board of Education. Harmening is a CCSD alumni, who went on to earn a degree from the University of Northern Iowa (UNI) for family services and criminology. He says he returned to Carroll and accepted a position with the district as the juvenile court school liaison.

Harmening says that he cares deeply about the students, staff, and the district that he wanted to run to continue to support CCSD in any way that he can.

Harmening says the school board has been very attentive and supportive for CCSD, and he says their commitment has reflected on all the positives that are going on. He says he would like to be a part of that.

Another focus of Harmening’s would be mental health and promoting resources within the district for students and staff. He says his time spent employed at the school and now with his daughter attending CCSD, he wants the best for the district.

Harmening faces four other candidates for the open seats: Jeff Cullen, Kristen Lundstrom, Angela Owen, and Dr. Charles Svensson. Carroll Broadcasting will bring you more from the other individuals running in this year’s election in upcoming newscasts.
