Beginning tonight (Monday), members of the Carroll Fire Department will be traveling door-to-door on Monday nights selling tickets for the 103rd annual Carroll Firemen’s Dance. Volunteer Firefighter Jeremy Heinrichs says these sales always begin the first Monday in October and typically last three to four weeks.
The annual firemen’s dance is the department’s only fundraiser of the year, and Brad Ruhnke, another member of the department, says the money raised from ticket sales and donations is critical to ensuring the department can properly equip its volunteers with safety gear and necessary equipment.
The 2025 Firemen’s Dance will be held on Saturday, Nov. 1, from 7 p.m. to 11 p.m. at the Carrollton Center, with live music from Third Wish, which played at last year’s dance and was popular with the crowd. If not purchased in advance, tickets are available at the door. Those unable to attend the dance can still support the Carroll Fire Department by using Venmo (@Carroll-FireDept) or by sending a check to the fire station at 801 Bella Vista Dr. in Carroll.
