The Carroll County Iowa State University (ISU) Extension and Outreach office will host a continuing instruction course (CIC) for commercial pesticide applicators later this month. The program is provided as part of the Pesticide Safety Education Program on Wednesday, Oct. 22, from 9 a.m. to 11:30 a.m. at the extension’s office in Carroll. Preregistration is encouraged, as walk-ins are not guaranteed a seat in the class. The course provides continuing instruction credits for commercial and public pesticide applicators certified in Forest Pest Control, Aquatic Pest Control, and Right-of-Way Pest Control. Topics will include pesticide use, environmental impacts, label comprehension, and category-specific pests and management strategies. The course’s cost is $45 if registered by Oct. 15 and $60 after that date. More details and registration forms are available using the link included below.
