Volunteers at the Pomeroy Covenant Church are looking for donations for the annual P-Cov Clothing Pick and Pull event on Oct.17 and 18. Starting Oct.1, donations of gently used and new clothing, Halloween costumes, sports gear, along with hygiene products and baby items will be accepted at the Outreach Center of Pomeroy Covenant Church to help local community families get the things that they need. Last year, over 440 individuals from eight counties attended the free clothing drive, getting the necessities they needed to continue to support their families. Event organizers are hoping to help just as many individuals, if not more and are asking for the publics’ help. Again, donations can be dropped off starting on Wednesday at 21822 600th St. in Pomeroy. Those with additional questions can contact the Outreach Center by calling 712-359-7706. The P-Cov Clothing Pick and Pull event is scheduled for Friday Oct. 17 from 3 p.m. to 8 p.m. and Saturday, Oct. 18 from 8 a.m. to 3 p.m.
