The Ar-We-Va Community School District earned high marks in the 2025 Iowa School Performance Profile. Across the entire district, Ar-We-Va students consistently excelled in almost every field. Science proficiency was 91.84 percent, nearly 25 percent higher than the state average of 67.14 percent. It was a similar story in mathematics, as the Rockets scored 83.44 percent compared to 70.93 percent for the state. Ar-We-Va scored 13 points higher than average in English Language Arts proficiency at 86.75 percent. Other notable data points include Ar-We-Va’s low chronic absenteeism rate, 6.75 percent, compared to the state’s average of 15.81 percent. The district also outpaced the state’s average in the five-year graduation rate metric, with a rate of 90.91 percent compared to 89.88 percent. The Ar-We-Va Elementary School received a “commendable” rating, while the Ar-We-Va High School earned a “high performing” rating, so the district will not require any additional support or oversight from state officials in the coming year.
