Sac County Conservation invites families to join them tonight (Monday) at Chautauqua Park in Sac City to learn all about Monarch butterflies as the colorful insects continue on their 1,000+-mile migration to Mexico for the winter. According to Naturalist Dakota Popp, Monarchs are expected to emerge today throughout the park, and she will be hosting a free educational seminar to learn all about the incredible species, including their diets, lifecycle, and the remarkable, multi-generational migration the butterflies undertake each fall and spring. The program begins tonight at 5:30 p.m. in Chautauqua Park, and all are welcome to attend.
