The Greene County Medical Center Foundation received a donation from the Kiwanis Club of Jefferson to purchase comforting items to assist children during medical emergencies. The $500 donation was presented to the foundation during the Kiwanis Club meeting on Wednesday, Sept. 17, which will be used to purchase books, toys and more to create a more welcoming and comforting environment at the Greene County Medical Center Emergency Room. A representative of the Kiwanis Club of Jefferson says
“Our hope is that these enhancements will make a difficult moment a little less scary for young patients and their families. This gift is one way we can live out our commitment to helping children locally.” A picture from the check presentation can be found included above.
