The Carroll Community School District (CCSD) Board of Education met with this year’s selected senior representatives to serve as Student Board Members during it’s last meeting. In it’s second year of implantation, Superintendent Dr. Casey Berlau says this opportunity has been great for both students looking to for another way to represent the CCSD student body but also to board members to gain a student perceptive of things going on in the district.
Berlau first introduced Achan Achor, who has been very active in district activities for the past five years.
The second representative, Cameron Kinkade, Berlau says is a senior as well who is also involved in a lot of extra-curriculars.
Just like last year, Berlau says student representatives will sit in during the board’s monthly meetings to be that liaison between the administration team and students at CCSD.
Student board members will not be providing votes for action items during the meeting, but is allowed to provide feedback or opinions on those topics.
