Court-generic

A Carroll man has plead guilty and ordered to serve two years in prison after stealing lottery tickets from a convenience store while on parole. According to Carroll County District Court records, 36-year-old Cody Jonathan Wolfe plead guilty to an aggravated misdemeanor, third-degree theft, after redeeming $750 worth of winnings from scratch tickets while employed at a gas station without purchasing the ticket back in June of this year. Wolfe was on parole at the time of the crime, for probation violations for previous crimes committed. He was ordered to serve an indeterminate term in prison of up to seven years for a second-degree theft charge, a class D felony and domestic abuse, an aggravated misdemeanor, with prison sentences suspended and placed on probation. The original sentences were imposed following the probation violations, but was granted parole before sentencing was up. The new two-year sentence will run concurrent with the original sentencing of the previous charges, with Wolfe being given credit for time already served.
