The Carroll Arts Council/Community Theater (CAC/CT) is inviting all to join for an afternoon on medieval fun during the first ever Renaissance Festival at Swan Lake State Park tomorrow (Saturday). Council President Laura Comito says she is amazed by how quickly this idea became a reality and how many individuals and vendors became interested in participating.
On Saturday from 11 a.m. to 6 p.m., everyone is welcome to come out to the East Side Shelter House at Swan Lake State Park for kids games, crafts, food and merchant vendors plus some awesome acts that Comito says the CAC/CT are really excited for.
There is also a scavenger hunt and a costume contest to win some prizes for all who participate. If anyone is interested in helping out, the CAC/CT is looking for volunteers, whether for a couple of hours or the full day on that Saturday.
Comito says after much thought, the council has decided to offer the Renaissance Festival for a fun day of free family fun.
Anyone interested in volunteering or looking for more information is encouraged to reach out via the group’s Facebook page or by email carrollcomunitytheater@gmail.com. CAC/CT hopes all come celebrate “A Day in Sherwood Forest” with them this upcoming Saturday at Swan Lake State Park.
