Elizabeth Snyder, 93 of Carroll, died Wednesday, September 10, 2025 at St. Anthony Nursing Home in Carroll surrounded by her family.
Funeral Services will be at 2 p.m., Monday, September 15, 2025 at the Sharp Funeral Home in Carroll. Officiating will be Fr. Merlin Schrad. Lector will be Lisa Eischeid. Casket Bearers will be Justin Loew, Tyler Loew, Craig Tentinger, John Halbur, DJ Halbur, and David Ragaller. Burial will be in Mt. Olivet Cemetery in Carroll.
Visitation will be held one hour prior to the service at the funeral home. Memorials may be left at the funeral home for a later designation.

Elizabeth was born on December 26, 1931 near Templeton, Iowa the daughter of John and Anna (Obermeier) Ragaller. She graduated from St. Ann’s High School in Vail and following graduation worked at KCIM Radio in Carroll as Connie; eventually moving to Omaha where she worked five years at Union Pacific Railroad.
Elizabeth returned to Carroll where she was united in marriage to Darrell Snyder. She raised their children and also work for the Iowa Department of Transportation in the Drivers License Department for 26 years.
She loved to travel with her husband, family, and friends. Liz was a terrific and supportive mother, grandmother, and great-grandmother. She enjoyed gambling, reading books, and her beloved dog Benji. Liz was also active volunteering with New Hope and St. Anthony Auxiliary.
Elizabeth is survived by her children: Gary (Jolynn) Snyder of Denver, CO, Michelle Loew (Todd Johnson) of Carroll, and Tom “Slider” Snyder of Carroll; her grandchildren: Jamie (Jason) Perry, Jenna (Davon) Williams, Justin (Alexis) Loew, Tyler Loew (Kailey Britton), and Craig (Ann) Tentinger; 5 great-grandchildren; her sisters-in-law, Mary Jo Ragaller and Mary Ann Ragaller; her brother-in-law, Jim Halbur; as well as many nieces, nephews, and other extended relatives.
Elizabeth was preceded in death by her parents; her husband Darrell in 2007; her son, Michael Snyder; her sisters: Betty Halbur and Ann Bellinghausen; her brothers, John, Bill, Joe, and Eddie Ragaller; her nieces, Cindy Ragaller and Lori Halbur; and her nephew, Tim Ragaller.
