Gasoline prices in Iowa dipped slightly coming off the holiday weekend in this weeks fuel report from the Iowa Department of Agriculture and Land Stewardship (IDALS) and AAA Iowa. As of Wednesday, Sept. 3, the average price3 for a gallon of regular unleaded gasoline was $2.84, down four cents on the week and 25 cents lower than prices reported in September 2024. Iowa still remains well below the $3.51 national average for gasoline, which is up two cents from last week. Retail diesel prices in the state average $3.51, falling two cents from last week, but remain higher than last years prices of $3.44 per gallon. Iowa diesel is priced 19 cents lower than the national average of $3.70. Renewables at the Des Moines Terminal reported E10 at $2.11, Unleaded 87 at $2.40, $2.49 for ULSD#2, $2.82 for ULSD#1 and $2.19 per gallon for E-70. Natural gas prices at the Henry Hub reporting site were up 18 cents to $3.07 per MMBtu.
