The National Alliance on Mental Illness (NAMI) Carroll County is asking the publics help for various items that will be used in a Smash Room Fundraiser. The pop-up smash room will consist of ceramic plates, cups, and other breakable objects that participants will be able to destroy, which is often found to be a stress reliever, all while supporting mental health programs in the Carroll community. NAMI staff are asking individuals to look through households for breakable items that are no longer being used to help making the first smash room a success. Items that are not being accepted included glass, mirrors, lightbulbs, pressurized containers or electronics due to safety concerns. Any approved donations can be dropped off at Artworks Studio, 512 N Adams Street in Carroll. Additional details on the Smash Room Fundraiser will be released at a later date.
