Lake View Officials Will Be Closing Application Period For City Administrator Position Next Week

Only one week is left before the application period for the city administrator position with the City of Lake View is closed. During the city council meeting on Tuesday, Interim City Administrator John Gibson said that the deadline for applications being accepted was Sept. 10, with a selection and interview process to follow.

As of today (Wednesday), 20 applications have been submitted for the position. Gibson says the review committee consist of two council members, himself and Kay Gates, the City Clerk, and that the details of the process for interviews is still being worked out.

Gibson has served as the Interim City Administrator since June. Interviews were conducted last May with potential hires but officials decided to not extend any offers due to lack of experience in a government or municipal role.
