Kimberly Ann was born on April 21, 1971, at Jennie Edmundson Hospital in Council Bluffs, Iowa, to Judith and Terry Holliman.

Kim grew up in Hamburg, where she excelled in both athletics and the arts. A proud graduate of Hamburg High School, she was a dedicated member of the volleyball and basketball teams, as well as the school band. Her love for competition, teamwork, and music remained a constant throughout her life.

After high school, Kim attended Iowa Western Community College, where she met the love of her life, Travis. Together, they built a family in Templeton, Iowa, where they raised three children. Their bond only grew stronger as they later moved to Carroll, where Kim continued to nurture and support her growing family.

In her professional life, Kim worked at various places, including American Home Shield, Buena Vista, Carroll Eye Clinic, and Harlan Insight. Her friendly nature and strong work ethic made her a valued employee and a cherished colleague in every place she worked.

Kim has a heart full of joy that showed through the things she loved most. She was an incredibly devoted mother and her love for her children was immeasurable. She found so much happiness in supporting her kids, whether cheering them on at sporting events, music performances, or simply offering her encouragement, she was their biggest fan. Her grandkids were truly her pride and joy – she loved spoiling them with little surprises and sharing her love in ways big and small. Spending time with them brought her endless happiness.

She enjoyed exploring new places, especially discovering unique landmarks across different states, and she had a special eye for spotting treasures to bring home for her loved ones. She was always curious to try new and unique foods, and she treasured time with her friends—be it a casual get-together, an HTR Booster Club meeting, or the much-anticipated cousin weekends in the Ozarks. Above all, she loved being surrounded by family, creating lasting memories filled with laughter, warmth, and love..

Kim will be remembered for her warm heart, her kindness, and her commitment to those she loved. She was a loving daughter, sister, wife, mother, nana and friend, and her legacy will live on in the countless lives she touched.

Kim is survived by her loving husband, Travis, and their three children: Kolby (Kelsey) Hilgenberg, Teryn (Brandon) Decker, and Kyndal (Austin) Hilgenberg. She is also survived by her cherished grandchildren: Audrie Decker, Jovey Hilgenberg, Jaxson Decker, and Maizey Hilgenberg.

Kim leaves behind, her mother Judith Holliman: her father Terry (Barb) Holliman, and her parents in-laws, Richard and Gae Hilgenberg. She is also survived by her siblings: Tadd Holliman and Kelly (Greg) Jones; her sisters- and brothers-in-law: Tiffany (Matt) Fatka, Tyler (Brooke) Hilgenberg, and Trevor (Tia) Hilgenberg: as well as many aunts, uncles, nieces, nephews and other extended relatives.

She will be deeply missed by her dear friends: Lisa and Steve Irlbeck, DeAnn and Mark Wittrock, Karen and Bill Prebeck, and Faye and Rod Halbur.

Her maternal and paternal grandparents, and her stepfather, David Newlon, preceded her in death.
