Manning Regional Healthcare Center (MRHC) is proud to announce that Dr. Douglas McLaws, DO, has been selected as a 2025 Hospital Hero through the Iowa Hospital Association (IHA). Every year, IHA recognizes ten hospital staff throughout the state who have been nominated for their compassion and dedication to patients, going above and beyond not only at work, but for their community. This is one of the highest recognitions that can be given to a healthcare professional in Iowa. McLaws joined MRHC Family Practice Clinic in June of 2011, serving patients from pediatric and adolescents to geriatrics in family medicine, as well as preventative medicine, obstetrics, and endoscopic procedures. McLaws will be recognized during the annual IHA meeting on Oct. 7 and 8 in Des Moines, as well as during the MRHC Legacy Gala event on Nov. 15.
