Several fire departments contain stove fire at a Twin Lakes residence Friday evening. According to the Calhoun County Emergency Management Agency, the Pomeroy, Knoke and Jolley Fire Departments were dispatched at approximately 5:37 p.m. to a house on the north end of Twin Lakes for a stovetop fire. Emergency Management requested assistance from the Manson and the Rockwell City Fire Departments due to the proximity of the home around 5:41 p.m. Departments all arrived on scene around 5:44 p.m., escorting the two homeowners safely out of the house and having them evaluated by medical personnel, but no injuries were reported. The fire was deemed under control at 6:24 p.m. Calhoun County Emergency Management Coordinator Richard Hall says “This incident demonstrates the importance of having local assets and resources available at Twin Lakes to protect both lives and property. We are grateful for the zoning, building and resource support that allows Sherman Township to utilize a fire storage facility at Twin Lakes.” The fire departments were assisted on the scene by the Calhoun County EMS, Calhoun County Sheriff’s Office, Rockwell City Police Department and the Manson Police Department.
