From rabbits, to chickens, to cows and horses, a wide variety of animals were presented from individuals and FFA members at the Iowa State Fair this year with several being designated as prize worthy. Calhoun and Greene residents were popular contenders in the horse categories, with the Greene County FFA placing first in the Equestrian Team Award and Panorama FFA placing fourth. The FFA Grand Champion Market Lamb, shown by Waylen Gemberling of Lohrville, produced a new record during the Sale of Champions, with a purchase price of $48,000.
