Carroll Man Sentenced To Two Years Probation For Using Previous Employer’s Credit Card For Almost $4K In Purchases

A Carroll man ordered to serve ten days in jail and placed on probation for using a previous place of employment credit card for personal expenses after he was fired. According to Carroll County District Court records, 32-year-old Christopher Brandon Lee Nichols used a company card over the course of several months at a local gas station, totaling over $1,500, after his position was terminated. Nichols has plead guilty to two aggravated misdemeanors- third degree theft. All but ten days of a 90-day jail sentence has been suspended, with credit for time served. Nichols is also placed on two-years probation and ordered to pay $3,911 in victim restitution.
