The final section of the ongoing Hawthorne Avenue pavement patching project near Halbur is schedule to begin on Monday. According to the Carroll County Road Department, Hawthorne Avenue between 230th and 240th Streets will be closed beginning at 7 a.m. on Aug. 18 and will remain closed through midday on Friday, Aug. 22. Local traffic will still have access, but other motorists are asked to find alternative routes while the construction is underway.
