CCSD Board Of Education Meets On Monday For Last Time Before The 2025-26 School Year

The Carroll Community School District (CCSD) Board of Education meets for the last board meeting before the start of the 2025-26 school year in just over a week. The meeting gets underway at 6:30 p.m. at Adams Elementary Board Room, with the administrative and personnel report first on the agenda. The board members will then review board policies for meal price changes, child abuse reporting, use of personal electronic devices and more. Four job description changes will also be reviewed and approved. Superintendent Dr. Casey Berlau says board members will then approve of donations to the district, including $350 toward a memory bench, over 600 boxes of Girl Scout Cookies to the Tiger Cupboard and for student activity passes from the CHS Foundation, Bill Evans Foundation, and the Tiger Booster Club.

Board members will then review agreements with Kuemper Catholic, St. Anthony Regional Hospital for an athletic trainer, and a Memorandum of Understanding with Head Start. In action items, the board will consider disposing of grounds equipment that is no longer in use and a quote for activate learning which will be used for the district’s science curriculum. Berlau says the board will then discuss the invitation to the Hawkeye 10 Conference.

The board will also discuss the soccer field parking lot and have conversation with officials from the City of Carroll in regards of next steps to potentially expand the parking area. The CCSD Board of Education meeting is open to the public and all are encouraged to attend.
