Carroll County Supervisors To Consider TextMyGov Contract At Monday’s Meeting

The Carroll County Board of Supervisors meet Monday for what should be a brief meeting. The board convenes at 9 a.m. on Aug. 18 in the supervisors meeting room at the Carroll County Courthouse, and they open with a discussion and potential vote on a contract with TextMyGov. If adopted by Carroll County, TextMyGov would allow officials to better communicate pressing concerns or issues directly with residents, and it would also provide a simple and efficient way to complete surveys or collect feedback on operations. If approved, the service would cost $12,000 in its first year, with a recurring $6,000 ongoing annual fee. The supervisors are also scheduled to discuss possible signage changes for the courthouse’s first floor offices. The only other items on Monday’s agenda are plat approvals, liquor licenses, manure management annual updates, and committee reports. The Aug. 18 meeting is open to the public and will be live-streamed via the county’s YouTube channel. Links to the agenda and video are included below.
