ESC Welcoming Five New Teachers And An SRO To Team This Upcoming School Year

The East Sac County (ESC) School District will be welcoming five new certified teachers and a School Resource Officer (SRO) to the staffing roster this upcoming school year. Superintendent Nathan Hemiller says that this year the district is welcoming the lowest number of new certified staff since he became apart of the administration team. He says ESC is super excited to be partnering up with the City of Lake View to provide an SRO position.

The district is still looking for special education paraprofessionals and interested individuals are encouraged to apply on the ESC school website. Some significant projects were completed over the summer, which Hemiller says includes additions to the ESC High School parking lot and relocation of some rooms.

Hemiller says the biggest change for students is the new policy of “no cellphones” in the school building.

New teachers report back to the district on Aug. 18 if an elementary teacher, the rest on Aug. 19, with all staff returning to the buildings on Aug. 20. Hemiller says ESC has three different open houses scheduled depending on the grade the students are going into.

The first day of school for ESC is on Monday, Aug. 25. Hemiller says he is ready to welcoming all the students and staff back after a summer break and looks forward to a great and productive 2025-26 school year.
