While not gaining the title of Super Bull, two of the largest bulls weighed at the Iowa State Fair come from the listening area. Dreher Angus placed fourth with their bull “Albert” from Audubon. In third place, Marc Weitl of Templeton with his Charolais bull “Big Beaver”, weighing in at 2,720 pounds. Second place was claimed by an Angus bull, “Rampage” owned by Marvin Spear of Indianola at 2,760 pounds with first place crowned to “Bud”, an Angus bull owned by Mark Till and John and Bridget Costello of Maquoketa, weighing 3,110 pounds. “Bud” will be on display at the Cattle Barn now through Aug. 17 at the Iowa State Fair.
