The 5th annual Carroll SuperDraft softball tournament was hosted last month and raised an impressive $12,000 for patients receiving treatment at the St. Anthony Regional Cancer Center. In the half-decade since its inception, the SuperDraft has already surpassed the $75,000 mark. On Saturday, July 26, players and fans crowded the Carroll slow-pitch softball fields, with money raised through tournament registration fees, a silent auction, sponsorships, and private donations. Funds are used by St. Anthony to support patients and their families with gas and grocery expenses, gifts for patients’ children, family outings, and more. Fundraising for the SuperDraft team, which is led by Katie and Tad Decker, Kyle Cornelius, Kevin Nepple, Chris Van Dyke, Catti Willenborg, and Jeff Puffett, has become a year-round affair. Their next event is scheduled for Saturday, Sept. 20, with the SuperDraft Golf & Bowl Tournament. Registration for each of the events is included below.
