Children in Sac City are welcome to join the Unity Church for a free, hot lunch that started today (Monday) through Friday, Aug. 22. Every weekday from 11:30 a.m. to 12:30 p.m., children 2 up to 18 are eligible for a free meal provided by volunteers in the community in the church located at 812 Audubon St. in Sac City. There is no income requirements, daycare providers are welcome and adults may purchase a meal for $4. This free lunch would not be possible without the volunteers who are willing to step up and assist in preparing and serving the food, and Barb Bloes (Blaze) and the Unity Church for organizing. Again, all Sac City children are welcome to come to the Unity Church Monday through Friday now until Aug. 22 for a free lunch from 11:30 a.m. to 12:30 p.m.
