Carroll County officials are reminding drivers that a section of Hawthorne Avenue near Halbur will be closed for the next week as crews complete repair work on the roadway. The approximately one-mile stretch between 220th and 230th Street closed at 7 a.m. this (Monday) morning with an anticipated completion on the morning of Monday, Aug. 11. No official detour has been designated by the Carroll County Secondary Roads Department, but bypasses are available using any of the nearby routes.
