A Carroll man has been sentenced to five years probation after pleading guilty to engaging in sexual acts with a juvenile female earlier this year. According to Carroll County District Court records, 24-year-old Antonio Lamar Deshaunte Hatcher pleaded guilty to third-degree sexual abuse, a class C felony, for inviting a 14-year-old girl to a hotel room on Feb. 24. His 10-year prison sentence was suspended. Hatcher will be on probation for five years and remain in custody until a bed is available at a residential treatment facility. He must pay $1,370 in fines plus a 15 percent surcharge and register as a sex offender for life.
