Iowa Fuel Report: July 30, 2025

A slight dip on the week for gasoline is reported in this week’s fuel report from the Iowa Department of Agriculture and Land Stewardship (IDALS) and AAA Iowa. As of Wednesday July 30, the average price in Iowa for a gallon of regular unleaded gasoline was $2.92, three cents lower than last week and down 36 cents from prices a year ago. The national average also decreased slightly from $3.16 to $3.14 per gallon. Retail diesel followed in suit, dropping three cents on the week to a statewide average of $3.55, an increase of four cents from prices in 2024. Iowa prices for diesel remain 19 cents lower than the $3.74 national average. Renewable prices at the Des Moines Terminal reported $2.26 for Unleaded 87, $2.47 for USLD#2, $2.72 for ULSD#1 and $1.91 per gallon for E-70. Natural gas prices at the Henry Hub Reporting site per down seven cents to $3.02 per MMBtu.
