Third & Main Market in Lake View is one of the eight grocery or food producing businesses across Iowa to be awarded a Rural Innovation Grant through the Iowa Economic Development Authority (IEDA). Just over $72,000 was awarded through Governor Kim Reynolds Empower Rural Iowa Initiative, which aims to assist towns with a population of less than 20,000 with various of projects to upgrade and improve services offered to residents. Third & Main Market, previously known as Lake View Foods, will receive $2,640 for a digital system for marketing and to offer targeted discounts to save customers money. The complete list of recipients for the grant can be found included below. The next round of funding closes on Aug. 29 with a focus on increasing rural housing availability.
