An increase of emergency vehicles may be observed tomorrow (Thursday) afternoon in the City of Jefferson, but for training purposes. Starting around noon, a disaster drill training hosted by the Greene County Sheriff’s Office will take place, collaborating with the Greene County Community School District, and countywide first responders like emergency medical services, fire departments and the Greene County Medical Center. While the visual of all these services together may be alarming, officials note that it is for a training exercise only and no emergency is taking place.
