The IKM-Manning Community School District will be placing an almost $20 million bond referendum on this upcoming November ballot for an elementary addition and update and construction of an all-weather track. The IKM-Manning CSD Board of Education approved unanimously to move forward with the $19.8 million general obligation bond, along with $2.95 million in sales tax revenue bonds to support projects aimed to improve learning and enhance athletic facilities. The projects will include the construction of an addition to the current 4-12 grade building in Manning with a new main entrance, classrooms and updated commons area, and the development of an all-weather track which will provide year-round access for physical education classes and the athletics’ department. Superintendent Dr. Angela Huseman says “This bond referendum represents an opportunity for the IKM-Manning District to modernize our facilities, enhance learning opportunities and safety, and continue to build a strong future for our students. We look forward to engaging with our communities in the coming months to provide information and answer questions.” The election will be held on Tuesday, Nov. 4. Additional information will be provided in the upcoming weeks, but individuals are encouraged to contact Huseman with questions. Contact information can be found included below.
