Interested parties have until Wednesday to submit a proposal for a vacant lot that is available in the City of Exira for redevelopment. The property located at 100 N. Cottage Street is a 51.5’ by 165’ lot, totaling around 8,498 square feet for approved residential structures to be constructed. The city acquired the property through condemnation and the original building was removed from the lot. Submissions are due electronically by 4 p.m. on Wednesday to cityclerk@exiraiowa.com. Information needed in proposals include: proposed use of property, improvement plants, development costs, purchase price offer and qualifications and experience of the proposer with similar projects if available. Proposals will be reviewed by city council and selected based on the consistency with the city’s urban renewal and comprehensive plan, feasibility of the proposed use, and the overall public benefit to the City of Exira.
